OT SWMBO's 1.5 D Corsa alternator

wifes Corsa D ( the isuzu unit ).

The sump rotted through and bolted a new one on but must have knocker the alternator wiring in the process.

Anyway all connected back up but getting 12.5 v across the battery is running or not running so assume the 12v alternator feed has blown. worth checking before shelling out £100 for a new alternator as it has the vacume pump on the back.

So job 1 I need to check the fusses.

Job 2 I know there is a green alternator relay somewhere ( an auto electrician changed it last time it blew ) due to the old alternator going tits up.

Where is this relay ? as I will need to check that as well. is it 4 pin 5 pin ?

many thanks agriv8

I had to change an alternator for someone on one of these recently, his voltage regulator had gone up it in the alternator. He was always blowing the relay that switched the battery dash light. The relays are located in the side of the drivers footwell, by your right ankle as it were, but you need to take up the trim by the sill too as I recall.
Hope that helps
Matt

Yep they are where matt says IIRC. The strip that goes along the sill take the screws out and prise it up to get the main kick panel off.
