just bought a xbox 360 shall I get the HD lead

hi

as above is it worth the extra for the for the high defenition lead I have a HD TV but the graphics seem good as it is.

just wondered if there even better with the HD lead connected or is it just hype

Yes!

If you have an HD tv it looks so much better.

My brother has the 360 with an HDTV and when you switch it from TV to HDTV on the connector it restarts the system, so I think it may use different hardware for the HD, whatever it does, you will definately notice it. Its alot smoother, i reckon they use more polygons when its in HD mode instead of it being just upping the number of lines its displaying.

if you've got a proper HD tv get the lead - its worth it. you'll get extra clarity in the games (that are coded to use hd)

they don't up the polygons - it would mean holding two models for everything but they probably use a higher resolution texture (but i'll check with my bro just in case i'm wrong like usual), its just the ability to display things better that makes the difference.
