I have a spitfire 120 size. Its pure hell to land. Managed only once to land properly, every other has been wheels off, front smashed it or skiding on its roof. Looks nice in the air though. Apparently half the real aircraft were destroyed in landing accidents so I'm not to ashamed!

Why is the 120 spit a handfull to land ?
Ive got two Kyosho 40 spits, and they are a doddle to land
my jamara 60, with retracts is much bigger 63" and comes in at 8lb yet flys great, the only problem we have is, a very short grass strip, so approach and landing, has to be spot on, or it rips the retracts out
if im on my finals, dead stick, and the approach isnt as good as i would like, wheels up landing is much safer, the only other thing about scaleish models is you can not allow to much lateral movement at low speads, as they fall out very easily.
ive done it loads of times
