That happens to me quite alot. Just turn it off at the plug for a few seconds. When it comes back on it should be fine.

Followed the simple instructions, off at wall, on at wall, all is now fine, guess I should have done that 1st.

Thanks for the replies.

I get this occasionally - there's a quick procedure that should fix the problem if a simple off-on doesn't do it:

1. Switch off the box
2. Unscrew the aerial connector at the back.
3. Touch the aerial lead inner with your finger (honest!) - touch it to earth if unhappy about this bit.
4. Re-attach the aerial - make sure the inner goes into its hole nicely before screwing up the outer knurled bit.
5. Switch the box on
6. Wait about 1 minute, then try to switch the box on - you should now get the 'welcome to sky' page. Select a menu page, which should then start filling up with programme details.

After this, you should be able to get everything you're entitled to!

David
(This was all dictated to me over the phone by a Sky maintenance engineer when I compained about the same problem)

joking apart, with my sky or telewest, just unplug the box for 10 mins, replace the plug and switch on, as this will reset the memory,

i used to have this problem with sky breaking up or screens not showing, and it seems to all be down to my erratic surfing !!

I am a channell surfing god, its official

regards

steve
