Any Tumble dryer repairers on Here ??
Hi All, I've got a deadish Creda Condenser dryer that turns ok, but has lost all heating capabilities, anyone know of any maintenance manuals
that I can get on-line or something to give me a clue as to what voltages and alike are to be found where ??
The Model number is T632CW if it helps

240v thermal fuse, probably inside some sleeving near to the heater element, I 've a couple go over the years, take back off, should be fairly
obviouse by nipping the sleaving where it is.

Are these the thermal thingies ??
 
If so, the buton on the left is inset(Depressed), the other is sprung open ? make sense? is this right ??

Its probably the thermal cutout switch, small round button thing with two connectors and screwed somewhere near the heating element. If it has a
surface that is is concave and when you put a meter across it you get open circuit the switch has tripped. To fix remove and throw it at a hard floor
surface from a couple of feet (seriously). It may take a few goes but the swicth should reset and be convex. Check again with the meter and the you
should get closed circuit. Refit and you should get heat...
Fixed a couple of tumble dryers this way

I ordered a few bits for washing machine & tumble dryer on fri 29 dec
arrived sat 30 dec! (new door hinge for washer as missus used it to lean on and wondered why it broke?)

Have thrown, and is now convex, meter is buried in the van so no joy there, dryer is now away from socket so can't even just try it
Will give it another go tomorrow, many thanks for the replies

Wait a minute
that thing you threw is a "one shot device"which may have reset but you should investigate why it tripped out.Most common is failure to
clean condensor unit {alloy cassette} and door filter before each cycle.If the left hand stat has green spot replacement kit is Hotpoint ref:1701583

The usual reason for the 'thermal fuse' to blow is because people tend to open the dryer before the 'cooling period' has ended
resulting in heat building up and tripping the fuse.
I've replaced them before, some are easy to find, others are a little more difficult.

'West' how did you know !!  I admit to not being the principal user of the said appliance, and have witnessed the machine strugling to
cope with the build up of fluff in the filter, it's usually me that has to clean it out though as 'it's a boy job' !!!
What's this about a cassette type thingy that might need cleaning, I havn't seen one of those inside it ??

Your living in Surrey! What do you need a tumble dryer for? Just hang them outside....
