Ah - that would be it, then...
Now that I don't have a great deal to do on the car, I thought I'd dig an old project out to see what state it's in...
It hasn't been out of its box for a couple of years, and last time I gave it a brief look it wouldn't move at all - I thought the iron
pistons and cylinders had rusted up.
After helping me to lift it onto a workmate, my wife said "don't forget to take the handbrake off, will you!" Err - took the
handbrake off, and it rolls back and forth as sweet as you could want!
Strange how often the simplest things will fix problems...
All I've got to do now is make a replacement whistle valve, clean it all up, then get it steam tested again.
Don't think I'll get it in the Locost though... it weighs over 100lb!

Hmm, funny that, I buggered around with my Kawasaki Z1000 for a couple of weeks trying to get it to start, then remembered to pull the clutch
