Are there any that you can stick a simcard in to use as a phone?

Look at the MDA Vario II from T-Mobile. VERY useful, if a little flaky. Full Windows Mobile 5 PDA with Super-3G connectivity (and only 7.50/month
for 2Gb data on T-Mobile) and of course a phone.
It's not without it's problems, being a Windows device it's a little flaky and it's much better as a PDA than as a phone, but
for an all-in-one unit you can't beat it.

I use a Dell Axim X51V, top spec. Wasn't as stable as my old Palm until I loaded the latest firmware - hasn't crashed in 3 months. Has CF
slot, SD slot, wi fi, bluetooth etc. Wouldn't be without it now.

I have a Dell Axim x50v which came with a compact flash adapter to allow a sim card to be used and turn it into a phone - I have never used it though.
One day I might get around to putting it on ebay. PDA works great though.
