Insurance hike
I've just received my renewal notice from Footman James!
As a broker they are supposed to get the best deal and then offer it. They appear to have done bugger all but send me the renewal of my existing
insurers.
This has gone up 50% and had various included extra cover items removed and offered at extra cost!
Gone has breakdown cover, gone has legal expenses cover, gone has competition cover (hillclimbs, sprints only, one on track at a time limit).
Has anyone else suffered a large hike in cost?
Needless to say I'm going to shop around but they left the renewal till last minute, I've only this week to get another cover quote!

Renewed mine last month with Adrian Flux, try giving them a ring. They got me a 3000 mile limited policy with a £100 excess for £140 with NIG, £30
less than 2 years ago when I last insured it. No extras though as I have AA cover for them. I am an older driver as well so that may be part
reason.
yours, Pete.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

You're a much older driver.
Really lucky I didn't drown in the big flood, couldn't get on the ark. Cheers Chris.
According to Mr Flux assistant, no claims discount doesn't apply to limited mileage policies and there is no cancellation option part way
through a year.
yours, Pete.

My insurance is £250 when the personal injury and legal expenses are added on, otherwise about 230. Which i thought was quite reasonable.

ROB
Try sureterm.com they quoted me £159 F/C 3000 miles and i've not got the best postcode either.
Footman james gave me a quote of over £250 and sent me someone elses policy and banking details,so i think i'll give them a miss

Interesting, i just had a quote from them for £285 for 3000 limited miles on a ZX9R engine, and i'm 38, i thought this was expensive, although i
did have a claim less than 2 years ago, due to a small shunt in the van. I phoned a couple of others and they we're dearer still.
This was for an agreed valuation though.
