Lambda Sensor Help Required
Hiya Guys,
As you know my tin top failed it's emissions in quite spectacular fashion. After asking you guys and taking the test results to college to ask
my tutor we are pretty sure it's the lambda sensor that's gone for a burton.
Anyone know where I can get a 5 wire lambda sensor from at a reasonable price?
It's for a 51 reg Seat Ibiza 1.4ltr AUD engine?
Who the f**K tightened this up!

Just Lambda http://www.lambdasensor.com/
or Gendan http://www.gendan.co.uk/oxygen_sensors.php
More likely to be the wiring than the sensor --- very easy to test likewise test the CTS as this will give your symptoms.
Generally lambda sensors don't just stop working they just slow down, usually after about 8 years use they reach the point where the engine ECU
decides the Lambda probe is responding to slowly. However bcause of the heat they are exposed to the wiring and connectors can give trouble long
before that.
All you can really diagnose from the test figure is that the engine is running in open loop mode.
Much better to do some simple tests with a DMM and/or get the fault code read than muck about blind.
