i did a time of 1hr 46min 30 seconds burnt off 1180 cals. not the fastest time, but i still happy that i completed it and hope to build up to the full
marathon distance.
anyone else done the half or full marathon distance rowing.

Used to row row in a coxed pair, but that was a long time ago.
Completely useless infor for you, but I feel better for sharing it.
Thanks,
Pat...

Longest row I ever did was 3 1/2 hours in a four. Our donkey dollop coach took us miles down stream on a very fast Thames current. We did suggest the
current was quite fast- he only realised when we turned round and found we could only go faster than the current at about 60% full wack and ended up
flogging it back up towards Chiswick.... That was a tiring row- we wondered at many points about getting out and carrying the flipping boat...
Then again, this is the same coach who told us to turn the boat immediately upstream of Chiswick bridge (again despite our protestations) and thereby
managed to scuttle us on one of the buttresses of the bridge!! Plonker. Almost recked thousands of pounds of Janousek racing boat...)

my father-in-law used to be into running (fell running) big time, the other day he was telling me that the record stands at running up 77 peaks in 24
hours (Mark Hartell 1997)! Can you imagine running up and down hills constantly for 24 hours?
