what did i miss?

just browsing gsf for some oil for the tdi (pd) vw and found what looks like some cheap (i'm guessing mispriced) oil. Before I order loads of it am I missing anything?

http://www.gsfcarparts.com
part no. 98092
FUCHS SUPERSYN PLUS 5W40 OIL 5L
ALL PD VOLKSWAGEN ENGINES
£5.70 + vat

cheers,

Ned.

I'm guessing it should be 1ltr rather than 5ltr as 5ltr is also listed, but obviously more expensive.

Looks like a good buy!

I'd order some before they change it.

I guess this is a misprint as we buy all our oils for our workshop from Fuchs & believe me it is certainly nowhere near that price, if it is we will be buying all our oil from there. I will watch with interest to see how you get on when ordering.

Well the order was accepted and I've had a confirmation email and I also took a screenshot of the confirmation page as the email doesn't list the order items.

See if I get a phonecall or if they deliver the items as described or not, if they deliver a load of 1ltr's then I will use my consumer rights to complain as I won't have been supplied with what I ordered as it was described to me!

Right, so here's the lowdown..

I received my oil today and as expected I was delivered 4x 1ltrs of oil.

Rang up to enquire why i was delivered 4x 1ltrs and not 4x 5ltrs and got 'did you buy these off our website' and 'oh yes I can see why that's happened, I'm getting that removed now'!

They wanted me to return them for a refund but as I explained I'm not taking a day off work to wait around for a courier due to their error and I'm not sure if I can leave them with a neighbour, said I would have to check - the guy put me on hold and went to check with the sales director.

Now I can keep the oil and they are refunding me!

Not what quite as good as I'd hoped for and probably not quite enough for an oil change on my car

..but 4ltrs of free oil is better than none at all

Ned.
