Make sure you've got the XViD codec installed
Then try using VurtualDub. I've done a little test on my machine and it split successfully.
Cheers,
Neil.

XVid is a GPL'd (Gnu Public License) codec based on the modified source code for DivX. So it's not DivX as such
My tests were done using XVid 2.1 that I got from www.XVid.org of all places.
GJN, when you say the splitters say it's not there, are you talking about graphedit in DirectX8/9? If you are, then I've just tested it
here and it worked OK.
Again, check the codec for the latest version and try again.
Cheers,
Neil.

If you want to re-sync the audio and it's just offset a bit, when splitting in VirtualDub, goto Audio menu,
pick Interleaving, and change the value in Audio Skew Correction.
If the synch gets worse as the file progresses, then the audio's been encoded at a different frame rate to the video (perhaps NTSC audio and PAL
video for example). It's possible to de-mux (split) the audio and video sound tracks and re-encode them at different rates useing a tool such as
BeSweet and re-mu then again, but ask yourself: "Is the video really worth it?" Life's too short and we've all got cars to
build!
Cheers,
Neil.
