Update from Any Land Rover experts?

Thanks for help for my post yesterday Link about the vibration from the wifes discovery. I have checked out all the suggestions and after further investigation of the front o/s cv joint it seems pretty well knackered. There is about 1 1/2" of play when i rotate the wheel and it clatters when on full lock. Silly question i know but do you think this will cause a vibration?? Has anybody changed one of these? Its only about £30 for the kit but its more car building time being taken up but has to be done to keep in the good books and get brownie points

Ronnie

She says its my fault as i do things like this with it

Had the same problem on my Galaxy also got more noise/vibration while accelerating and on the overrun.
Noise/vibration was road speed specific not gear specific and was still there in nutral wile moving along.

I doubt a CV joint will that amount of free play, more like the diff !

Easy to change but you get two sizes so make sure you get the right one.

I doubted it as well and am hoping its not the diff but if you hold the front prop and rotate the wheel it rattles like mad at the cv joint end. Have checked and noticed there are 2 sizes and guess what, mine seems to be in the middle of the change so will need to try and find the number on the axle. Thanks Ronnie
