renault clio fob programming
i just bought a 1998 clio to run around for winter, the car has remote locking but it doesnlt work have changed the fob battery and still no joy
i remember reading on the net somewhere about re-syncing the fob after changing the battery, but can;t find it now
anyone know the procedure?

if you get no joy re programming the key have a look at the transponder in the roof as they get damp andwiring rots ,there are two types of ecu one
is gel filled and cant be opened the other can be split and the immobiliser by passed

Aren't you suppose to turn the ignition of the car on and then hold the fob next to the ignition and push the button to re-sync OR something
like that.

This may help you?
First make sure your fob battery is good if not sure fit new one.
With ign off press and hold the door locking button for more than 5 seconds.
Then within 10-15 seconds press the lock/unlock button twice.
On some models you only need to press this once.
