offered my about a third of what I could get for my phone on the bay, so I could sell my phone and plant my own tree, scamming swine

It does seem that they're looking to make a bit of cash out of it!!!
Planting a tree isn't exactly expensive through charities...
Then again, the main thing is to make sure mobile phones are recycled. There are hundreds and thousands discarded everyday which could be recycled
(taken apart for their "ingredients" ) or sent abroad to countries where the populous are less interested in having the most up to date
model!!
