Paypal, has anyone spoken to a person?
I have new creditcards from my bank and they are totally different to my previous registered ones. I registered them with paypal 6 weeks ago and I
still don't have an expanded use number to activate them.
I contacted paypal via email 2 weeks ago without any response. I tried ringing them today and all they do is give an automated load of rubbish
without an option to talk to someone.
If they don't sort this out, who else can I use instead of paypal to take creditcard payments for ebay items?

They don't answer emails and my query does not fit their automated calls

i'm not sure what an expanded use no is ?
but i have changed my card a couple of times allthough its a debit card not a credit card ,
i simply added my new one then removed the old one and it worked without any need for any confirmation,
I'm to old to live and to young to die --- buggerit

My bank changed the cards from visa to mastercard and amex, hence the problem.
Expanded use number is to prove the cards belong to you by charging a small amount and then you can provide the number from your statement.

my son' changed cards, all from diffrent banks and he also had no problem,
have you tried buying anything using the card ? just get something for a couple of quid and see if the new cards work they tell you straight away if
its not accepted,,

I should first say that I have only ever had good experiences of Paypal. I did find a website a while ago providing case studies of those that
haven't, suggesting alternative providers and even giving a list of direct contact numbers that get through to real people.
I can't recall the address but a search might bring it up?

I could be wrong, it's not uncommon ......if you don't press any numbers when faced with automated options, you will eventually get
through to a real person....I haven't tried it yet so....??
You could be waiting hours!

I have spoken to a real person there in the past when I got a new card from Halifax which was chip and pin and wouldn't work with Paypal for
some reason. Nothing was resolved in the end as both companies refused to admit that anything was wrong.
