tow bar, where to buy from and what make

i want a tow bar for a 57 plate vectra.

but one that you can take off, are they called swan neck or something ?

also the electrics as the vectra has "canbus" electronics that detect a bulb out and you need a special loom or something

anyone got a cheap contact ?

I've got a "Brink" one on my Omega with a removeable swan neck. Very sturdy and well made. For the electrics you'd be better using a 7 way bypass relay from the likes of towsure.
Edited to say that if you use the "Special loom" then you need the tech2 on it to set up the trailer indicators I believe.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Theres a choice. Swan necks you can just unbolt, or a proper removeable that kind of unclips.

I have used this place a few times. Very good. You will nee a special wiring loom for it.

Have you had any quotes from indespenion and the likes for supply and fit?? Theyr not too bad and only need the car for a couple of hours max.

I recently used a company that manufactures and deals direct, cos they were very close by, but still another possibility I suppose:

mine wasn't detatchable or owt but at under £60 for a BMW 7 series i thought ti was pretty good value!
