Running Tin Top With ARB Disconected?

Whilst I was fitting the engine into the MK today (yay ). My brother was changing the suspension on his Tin Top. I did not get involved as his approach to fixing cars involves getting frustrated and using a bigger hammer which really winds me up.

Anyway.... the short of it is that he knackered the tread on his droplink(?) and thus cannot connect the Anti Roll Bar back up. Is it ok to drive the car for a few days with it disconnected while he sources a new part?

Any input would be apreciated

This advice is offered on the basis that you don't blame me if anything goes wrong.

I've had drop links fail and not been able to tell when driving around town at normal speeds but as soon as you go out on the open road you can feel the difference in the handling. The other thing to be aware of is that it will cause excessive wear on the tyres.

So the answer is that if it is only for a few miles around town he should be OK but if you are talking about long distances cross country then no way.

Hope that helps

What car is it? I once took the arb off one car I owned to reduce understeer. Admittedly, most of the range didn't have one so it was no big deal.
