Has anyone done one of these, its a 1992 TD200.
Is it a barsteward or fairly straight forward to do?
Cheers

Not to bad, I took the bonnet off stood in engine bay leg either side engine to lift it off, done in an afternoon with ease.
Make sure you get the correct one, an expert will be along cant remember where to look but there are three different thickness's marked with one
to three dots, you can see which one before you take the head off but cant remember where to look, on a tab sticking out somewhere.
edit to add I left turbo bolted to head think book says take inlet off but it looked easier to just unbolt exhaust from under turbo so I did.

Its a pretty straightforward job. Make sure you have a good torque wrench and an angle guage to retighten it as its the bolts get a high torque. (you
might not need an angle guage as i think you turn them 90 degrees)What wrong with it that you need change it?

Its not mine it s a mates and he took it into the garage to get the handbrake sorted out as it was sticking on every time it was used.
He asked them to have general quick eye over it too.
It turns out the water is being pressurised as a result of a failing head gasket.
Its not gone as yet and it drives pretty well so he said he was going to drive it until it dies!
Im trying to convince him otherwise!

I had mine break down a couple of years ago when I was some distance from home and had to have it towed and repaired at an 'independent
Landrover specialist'.
The clown that did the job left the turbo and manifold in place on the exhaust downpipe, the weight of which crushed and ruptured the oil return pipe
below the turbo. I don't think the chassis will be rusting anytime soon due to the amount of oil it spread allover it!
Nothing wrong with undoing the manifold from the head and leaving them in place, just make sure they are supported.
