Daihatsu Charade GTti

Somebody on here has one of these cars but can't remember who. My son has just passed his driving test and was looking for cars on ebay and found this LINKY . He is looking for something a bit different to the norm so is this worth looking at.
Cheers.

I've got one That one on ebay looks great, same colour and reg as mine, slightly lower mileage than mine, has had lots of work done. These cars are very reliable and when you keep it around 55-60mph they'll do 55mpg. They are such good fun to drive, pretty fast too. I've recently re-done the the brakes and suspension on mine and changed to polybushes. I'm getting it resprayed soon I get all my parts from camskill, still plently of parts around for them and they can be tuned up to 200BHP from 993cc They don't last long when you go that high though, people take them up to 160BHP a lot, mine is completely standard and i'm keeping it that way, still plenty quick enough.

In short, yes it's worth looking at, great fun, great handling and suprisingly spacious inside with the rear seats down. There's an owners club too with loads of support and you can get reduced insurance if you're in the club iirc.

Mine came with a cassette deck but being japanese also came with a line in socket so I plug my mp3 player straight in or borrow a load of dads tapes ^__^
