Bernie watchers of old know that Bernie's opinions change from day to day, he can even occupy conflicting positions in the course of one
interview. Tony Blair also used the same trick, tell your audience what they want to hear but have a different message for each audience group.
It's a balancing act like riding a unicycle and juggling at the same time -- but Bernie has always managed it. However from his last few
published interviews it looks like the Ecclestone unicycle has developed a speed wobble.
Max M has placed the FIA in a three ball rock crusher, whatever escape route he or Bernie come up with the FIA will end 2007 with its name in the mud.
I have no doubt Max will wriggle free but he can't go on forever. It reminds me of the Battle of the River Plate, the FIA is getting hit and has
taken a lot of damage. The FIA is still is afloat but is rudderless, without (moral) compass, in short he will soon be out of options. Unlike the
honourable Captain Langsdroff of the Graf Spee Max Moseley is not likely to put his men ashore in Montevideo and do the honourable thing
