I think I've cracked it.

World poverty.

The world need no longer have any poor people and the solution is simplicity itself.
Two words: RICOH COLOUR PHOTOCOPIER.

The 'copiers will be made avaialable for use by the world's poorest people who can to copy as much money as they need. (note not want as that would be greedy).

Then the money can be used to buy stuff in the same way as real money.

It would require cooperation of the world's governments and banking organisations to pass laws
so the copied money is legal tender, other than that it is a sure winner.

Imagine it: no more starvation, no more deaths due to lack of medical facilities, no more homeless people, no more disappointments in JB SPorts etc..

Nice idea but greed will soon take over and most of these countries are run by out and out crooks who will take advantage of the new laws.

It will NEVER work...sadly

...also, in my experience with Ricoh colour printer/copiers the toner will only last for 3 to 4 prints and then require a service engineer to come and nurse it back to full health. I don't think they'd be able to print enough cash each time to pay for the toner and call out charge

Maybe another opeing for Trevor Bayliss though to develop a wind up version

Good plan

A very cunning plan indeed.

Three major problems.

1: The Government's will want 70% of all money printed.

2: Public utilitys will want 20%

2: Global supermarket chains will want 10%.

All = sod all for the starving & needy.

I think he's trying to say out and out crooks holding automatic weapons, whereas our country is run by out and out crooks supporting automatic fake smiles...

why would there be any crooks? everyone will have enough money not to have to resort to crime.

and no need for charities either.

the reliability of the Ricoh copiers is a bit of a concern though.

Quite right James - you just beat me to it. Google Hyper-inflation and have a read. We really could do with some more economists on here!

They tried it in Zimbabwe and it didn't work too well

In fact they're still trying it and things are getting worse - the paper now costs more than the money's worth.

They are now planning to cut 6 zero's off their notes as people aren't sure if a loaf of bread costs $1 Trillion or $1 Billion and are getting confused. (Just think what a BMW costs)

Of course it's all an evil plot by Great Brittain and this thread prooves it.
