What type of bike are you after?
Sports
tourer
Supermoto etc
I sold my 2006 Carbon Fibre CBR600RR last year and I quite fancy a CCM644 at the moment for a change!!!

Just bought a VFR800i (pre Vtec).
Handles great, tours, sprints and the noise............just gotta get a can to unleash the lovely burble from the v4.
Great bike - not the most exciting but just so good at everything.
Toured 500 miles over 2 days a month ago in the rain and wind and could easily do a tank with no cramp or discomfort at all then had a great blat
through the yorkshire dales at the other end.
Good bike.

A good friend of mine has had bikes his whole life, he is also an adminstrator of a local bike club.
He gave up all the jap 4 cylinders and now owns a KTM and a Buell.
He has not enjoyed riding a bike as much as these two for a lot years. I guess you just end up chasing horsepower and handling to its limits (seems
natural to me) at the expense of puer fun.
He is now happier with the Buell at 60 than he ever was at the R1 at 100.

I'm saving up for a new Yamaha Virago 250 to replace my 37k honda 125.
I just doddle around anyway so not interested in big engines, I can run for 2 weeks on £6 worth of fuel, coool

supermoto mate.
For 4k you might even be able to get the aprilia sx4.5 or 5.5 during winter.
If you want a supermoto then check out visordown.com and go to the supermoto part of the forum

had a virago 535, comfy but grinds out on the floor in even mild corners, made for some very hairy round about manouvers.

'busa. Sold mine about 20 months ago for £3,100!!!!! 21k miles, very clean , history etc.
Insurance renewal after I sold it - £180 comp. Only downer was the tyres 800 miles for rears if you'd had a lot of rain.
Don't worry about the ZX12, they aren't that quick A few people tried them at Brighton ST a couple of years back, but the 'busa
wins every time.
