A name to watch
Some of you might have seen the Autosport Awards on ITV on Tuesday night, you would have seen Stefan Wilson winning the Autosport McLaren BRDC
award.
I've ran him in FPA since the Autumn Trophy last year and think he really can go far. He has great talent and maybe most importantly in
motorsport good backing. To come second to Tim Bridgeman who was by far the most experienced driver in the championship (FBMW champion and ChampCar
Atlantic last year) in his first year of car racing was pretty special.
Going into the awards I thought he was the underdog, there is no denying his talent, but he his quite shy on camera so thought he would lose out in
the interview process. But seeing the footage it seems his big bro has been giving him some tips and the judges looked for the person with the best
chance of going the furthest. I think if Nick Tandy was in it a couple of years ago he would have had the best chance as he is an awesome pedaller but
Stefan has 5 years on him.
He has a lot to learn and with more experience I reckon he will go far. Hopefully he will be doing British F3 next year with a decent team so he can
run at the front.
Most importantly he brings me sarnies when Im too busy fixing his car to get lunch!
Really proud of him and thought I would let everyone know who to look out for coming up the ranks!
