Lawrence Hoy
Who ? I hear you asking.
Many of you may have seen hillclimb videos I have posted on here in the past of a lightning quick Hillclimbing Caterham.
These ones :-
Lawrence at Doune
Lawrence at Forrestburn
The driver is Lawrence Hoy and I have in recent years been fortunate enough to make his acquaintance. Lawrence is always a friendly face in the
paddock and always has time to give a bit of advice.
To cut a long story short, approximately six weeks ago, Lawrence was diagnosed with prostate and lung cancer and kidney failure.
On Sunday past Lawrence succumbed to the above and sadly died.
There is no real purpose to this message other than to give me a little chance to pay my own little tribute to someone who had a profound effect on
me.
If you have an ambition to fulfill, do it today because tomorrow is by no means certain.
RIP Lawrence

A tragic loss. I spoke to Lawrence on no more than three or four occasions but his knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious. I know from others that he
knew no bounds when donating his time and effort to help and encourage. Rest in peace.
