Fedex - normally bobbins?

Has anyone got any experience with Fedex?
I got a crank pulley shipped over from the states via Fedex a week before Christmas. I was out when they tried to deliver it so got the usual "sorry you were out" card. I rang them and eventually got through to someone who clearly didn't give a sh!t but said they'd get it delivered to the people who live above me. Since then on four sequential days they tried delivering to me again (each time ignoring the big sign I've put up saying "Fedex- please deliver package to upstairs flat" ) and each time leaving yet another card. Now it appears they've stopped trying to deliver it and are simply leaving it at the depot @ Enfield (which is a good 45 minutes both way from me). I've e-mailed them twice and they've ignored both e-mails...

Do I have bizarre expectations or does it seem pretty slack that despite managing to get the pulley from San Diego to London in 48 hours, they can't seem to do the last bit of the whole delivering shebang!! There answer to everything is "please ring us on our 0845 rip-off line and waste 30 minutes listening to some sh!t music before giving up".

They're actually beginning to make Parcelfarce look relatively organised....

No experience as such, but i've had problems with NTL Virgin Whatevers internet and help lines etc.

They changed to some ripoff 50p a min help line and I went mad and emailed them as it was the only "free" way to get incontact anymore and after about 1 month what sounded like somebody pretty high up in the company rang me back.

When I explained that as I was already computer literate and sorted out all my faults the only time I ring them is when its a fault with their equipment so why should I have to pay to ring or report it.

They just said to highlight the calls on my bill and send it off to them with a covering letter.

It might be worth you doing the same as this sounds quite a farce!

50p/min!! Jeez.... I think 0845 is only 5-10p a minute on my tarriff. It's just annoying in this case that it appears when you finally get through to them they don't actually do what's agreed!!!!

It's a good point!! At least then I'll only be paying 3-5p per minute listening to cheesy musack

A while back I found a 0800 number for my bank via saynoto0845!!! That was nice!!

Ben

I live Wood Green, not far from Enfield. I'd be happy to go there if there is some way you can get them to release it to me and then at least it's out of their grasp.

U2U me if you think I can help.

John
