Cheap CD's Copyright?
My dad brought one of those cheap panpipe CD's from a local supermarket but they are just midi recordings (recorded off an electronoc keyboard).
Are they not copywritten as i didnt think it would be legal to do that?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

You don't need a keyboard to make midi files How do you know the people who made the CD didn't make the music? Are these midi files on
a CD that you need a pc to view or an audio CD?

Could be worse,
could be bagpipes . It's the tunes that are copyright, not the cd. If the cd author has paid the copyright fee then he is free to sell his
rendition of them.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I know, i was just making it simpler for the 'less musical minded'
They are midi files that have been converted to audio and burned to a CD
Edit - they are abba covers My poor ears

Was watching Mythbusters the other night, they were running Cds at really high speeds until they exploded. maybe you should re-create their
experiments. . . . .

If you copy them, then you are sure to be infringeing someones copyright.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

I'm sure the pan-pipe people have paid the appropriate fees to the copyright holder. You wouldn't get away with selling stuff on a large
scale on the high street if you hadn't!
Plenty of artists release covers of other people's songs without being accused of breach of copyright

Listen to Mike. However, maybe your dad is trying to get you to move out of the house or something.
