As long as you don't tear off more than absolutely necessary I would say the bog roll (cheap, recycled type). However, I have now got to that stage where I like to spoil myself a little, particularly when I'm feeling a little under the weather (well, it is man flu!) and I have tried some of those posh tissues with the added balm etc. What a difference - so many more sneezes/wipes before any hint of the sore, bright red nose and cracked skin etc. It's a bit like using the proper tool for the job. It might cost a little more but IMHO well worth it!

Get yourself down the local Esso garage and help yourself to a wadge of that blue crap you gets for free. May be a little harsh on the old nostrils but beggars can't be choosers eh?

nose blows

Well Im' glad it's not just me.
I have had this snotty nose and bad chest since December, nothing I do seems to get rid of it.
I have tried kitchen roll (larges quares but rough on the hooter),tissues ( too expensive with an industrial Man Flue).
And now I am using the bogg rolls.
I am sat here designing a bog roll holder to fit on my arm chair and a swing bin for the other side for disposal.
Anyone have any tips to relieve the symptoms, the only thing that seems to work for me is JB but I wake up with a dayglow number eleven on my top lip
remember coughs and sneezes spread
disieses (sp)
Regards Kipper.

Got told bog roll has antibacterial bits added that you really don't want round your nose.

Snort back and swallow is the most cost effective way I've found.

Mornin to you too! Hmmm, sponsored by Kleenex? Could be useful - It should be a nice looking car!
Nervous passengers may find them useful too!
Just off to mock up a carbon fibre tissue box holder to save putting them on the back shelf next to my pork pie hat!

I use the soft stuff with the balm but I'm a whimp. Sure I read somewhere that the blue roll contains glass?

I know that recycled toilet roll isn't quite "what it says on the tin" but there is still something about it that makes you think...

I'm "on a roll this morning"!!

Taken from Wiki - In many parts of the world, especially where toilet paper or the necessary plumbing for disposal may be unavailable or unaffordable, toilet paper is not used. Cleansing is then performed with other methods or materials, such as water, for example using a bidet, rags, sand, leaves (including seaweed), corn cobs, animal furs, or sticks. In some parts of the world, especially before toilet paper was available or affordable, the use of newspaper, telephone directory pages, or other paper products was common.

On this basis, the above should also be a more cost effective way of dealing with a snotty nose (I would advise against corn cobs and sticks though, especially if your nose is feeling a bit tender)

I was told a while ago not to shake people from the middle east with the left hand as that's what they used for cleaning their arse, hmm I thought don't they wash their hands? but apparently they literally use their hands...you know without paper, oh dear how I shudder just thinking about that

Have you noticed this site has been going down the pan recently? so to speek.

Thinking of that - I went out to get some pipe fittings today, and passed a big sign that said "Kahzie Rentals - portable toilets".
