builders/architects advise needed

I'm contemplating an extension to the rear of my house. I have done some preliminary drawings on autocad and got my plans and elevations of the existing up to scratch.

I'm struggling on a couple of design issues which are mainly centred around the roof. I am looking at a few options but have design issues with each one such as roof pitch is too shallow for matching tiles due to location of upstairs windows and roof spans or the roof would have to comprise a double pitch with a gulley which I'm not too keen on.

I'm only talking about a relatively small (10'x8' ) extension on 2x walls so it's hardly enormous.

I've drawn out a couple of different ways of doing it but I'm not very happy with any of the options I've come up with and wondered if someone in the know could suggest any alternatives?!

I basically wondered if anyone would be prepared to take a look at a couple of piccies and maybe give me a bit of advise.

yours hopefully..

Ned.

Ned, if you want to send me your pics and Cad dwgs I'll have a look and overlay in a different layer whats possible. You get underlay products like onduline which allows you to use a rafter pitch of 12.5 degrees with a tile which normally can be set at such a low pitch.

I had a look at your photo's / plans at work today, but I'm confused.
So confused that I deleted your email address! If you could re-send it to me, we can discuss further on email, rather than in public.

I'm not sure if you drew the plans up, or had someone else do them, but the plan view doesn't tie in with the elevation or the photo of the house? The plan shows the bedroom which sticks out into the garden, then another bedroom with 1 window in it. The elevation shows the bedroom which sticks out into the garden then two windows on the FF.

I'll have a sketch about this evening, and come back to you.

Mike

Mike,

I'd sent you 2x piccies, 1x existing elevations, 1x existing plan and 1x possible extension plan.

Now resent

Ned.
