Some people collect these things. Those who are into all that probably consider it a bargain . Personally i'd go with the later £5.99 edition from Amazon.

Mint condition first editions and especially the first impressions go for serious money to collectors.

That wouldn't seem unreasonable to a collector of his books. For true madness have a look at how much a first edition JK Rowling goes for.
