It looks like a boring piece of crap as well, passed one on the motorway last week - very underwhelmed indeed, give me the R34 any day ..... and if
it's really not gonna be 'modable' that's sure to kill sales too.....
If you're not living life on the edge you're taking up too much room.

I thought the only thing that made the old car attractive in the forst place was the modding ability for 1000bhp and all the after market tuning and
styling bits available.
Nissan may have shot themselves in the foot with this. Though it's only a matter of time before someone invents a little black box to bypass
the restricions.
First person to do it and patent it will be a rich man!

Reading up on the pre-launch stuff in Evo, Nissan had to do this to be able to sell the car in Japan - the Japanese government wouldn't allow
them to sell it over there if it was as eassy to tune them up to 800 - 1000 hp or whatever. Apparently there are quite a few fatalities caused over
there by numpties upping the engines to stupid levels, and completely ignoring suspension and brakes.
Not even being able to change the alloys though - that's a bit too far...

Looks like a red rag to a bull if you ask me.
Whats to stop some bright spark developing an aftermarket ECU to bypass this nonsense?

Dont think that will be used as a locost donor in the future then
Wait till top gear get hold of it. I think they will have something to say.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?
