Relays

Are the numbers on the terminals a universal standard ? Need one like
the number 4 at top of page here VWP.
I have one in my box-o-bits with corresponding numbers. will it be the same ?

as far as I'm aware yes it's a standard coding system, but just to be sure it's the same I'd still prise of the cover and have a shifty

They are a standard numbering system. The numbers are also on the Relay.





If its broke, fix it. If it aint broke, take it apart and find out how it works!

The relays normally have a diagram on them so no need to try and get the cover off , Mr Whippy!

You should be aware that there are 2 patterns of connector layout.

This Vehicle Wiring Products page shows it really well.

yes. beware of the one that has snubber diode fitted since the coil can only bewired one way on those.

Maplin are cheaper than the usual places for automotive relays.

Rather than using that type of relay I would use two seperate 4 blade relays.
