I use my ISP's webspace, they provide me with 30meg free, I've filled that up so I'm using my Mum's webspace, that's
another 30meg free.
The software I use is apparently the son of satan himself, but I've had no problems with it .. Microsoft Frontpage.
Please don't ask for tips, I'm only just coping with it

i use
www.freeservers.com
its a USA service, NOT freeserve....
comes with simple online software.
I have used frontpage. For simple stuff its pretty good - I havnt used the whizzy bits. The one button publish feature is particulartly nice

Yep, I agree about Frontpage....don't know why people dislike it......seems pretty easy to use and does all I need....
My ISP is a local US based one so not relevant I guess.

You can't beat your ISP's free space, and Frontpage is ok if a bit "agricultural"
I've just got Dreamweaver 4 as an upgrade on 3 - very expensive but the best available (IMHO).
Cheers
Chris
Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

*cough* my business sells webspace if you are after something other than the limited options 'free' hosts give you.
Frontpage is ok for starters but Dreamweaver is definatly the one to go for if you can afford it. You can get a free time limited demo at
macromedia.com

I use Dreamweaver 4..... tis very good, especially as i got it free
By downloading the trial version, then by 'accident' i loaded a program that got rid of the 30day thing. whoops
