Honda S2000 Scam or not?

Opinions please

Hi,

The 2005 HONDA S2000 2.0i 2dr Roadster is still for sale. A great car, never implied in any accident, in excellent condition with full service history. My job put me on the way to England and I purchased this car there. Now I have to sell it as I've got back home in Switzerland. The car is here as well. The final price is £5650 + shipping to your door. For an accurate shipping cost please include your shipping address in your next email.

As you probably noticed, the price is rather low. But since it's a right hand drive car, not even a dealer will offer me a better price here. The fact that it's still UK registered did not help either.

I am the registered keeper and there is no outstanding finance on the vehicle. The car is in excellent condition, the bodywork is immaculate, no scratches, dents or hidden defects as well as the interior in excellent non-smoking condition.

Due to amount involved and due the fact I am not located in United Kingdom, I only accept third party transaction mediator. All documents, including V5 log book on your name will be provided along with the car.

Please email me soon if you want to move forward and let me know if you need anything else.

All the best!

Scam, a mate of mine was going to buy a Toyota Supra in very very similar circumstances from a guy in Rome, until he noticed the photos had been cribbed from Autotrader, funnily he got no further responses when he queried that!!!!!

Its a SCAM

The WEB is a GREAT place to buy from, but you need to use caution as you would in any other situation.

The old addage of:

"If it seems to good to be true, it usually is"

applies here. Or, 'caveat emptor' - let the buyer beware.

Before buying anything, do some simple checks, is it a known company, what's the feedback like, do they have phone support etc etc.

You wouldn't trust a bloke walking upto you in the street saying buy a honda s2000 for £6k - but it's in Rome would you! So, simple - don't trust an advert that promises it either.

Personally, whilst I hate scammers and con-artists, I do think if people are too stupid/greedy to look after their money - they do deserve it. As scammers and con-artists tend to rely on 'greed' being a major motivation.

Just my 2p on a Friday! YAY WEEEEEKEND

this relieves all: As you probably noticed, the price is rather low. But since it's a right hand drive car, not even a dealer will offer me a better price here. The fact that it's still UK registered did not help either.

Since when when you sell you write things wich you won't help selling the car....

Tks
