Ford Design - You just have to love it!
I just can’t believe what the fools at Ford had me doing today!
For my sins I am forced to drive a Mondeo (company car) day to day.
And today was the day for changing the headlight bulb. A 30 second job on any car…
…other than a 1999 Mondeo!
The whole headlight light has to be removed and in order to do that the front grill has to come off as does the cowling above it.
Yes! Just to change a bulb!!!
I can only think that Ford were having a really bad month is their service department the month that was designed, so they elected to go for the
“return to dealer for everything other than oil or water” design!
At least they stopped at requiring a special tool!!!
Thank you Ford for wasting 30 mins of my life changing a bulb and 10 mins righting about it!

Not just ford, latest model Golf is the same...

Love is like a snowmobile, speeding across the frozen tundra.
Which suddenly flips, pinning you underneath.
At night the ice-weasels come...

I work in a VAG bodyshop - the Mk4 Golf is much worse, the whole front bumper has to come off, then the headlamps out. 1.4 hours and a dealer rate of
£48 per hour - oh! and £4.99 for the bulb!
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
