Ashes to Ashes

Ok so what do we think? Better than Life on Mars...i think not although i love the whole 80's music theme and last week in the club (can't remember the clubs name) with all the New Romantics was great. I was 16 in 1982 so i was well into the whole synthesizer music movement but i was a Futurist and not a New Romantic as such.

Still a great prog!

Hmm, I was 16 in 82 as well, mind you with a fledgling Metallica and other 'family' orientated metal bands around I didn't dig the synthesizer thing.

Still following Metallica now some *cough* years later...

I think not as good as Life on Mars... although it's OK, Alex Drake seems a bit too in your face "aware" of the situation (though she might or might not be right...) whereas Sam was a bit more confused about things.

P.S. I was not 16 in 1982

I only caught a couple of snippets of Life on Mars but have managed all of Ashes to Ashes. I was 10 in 1981 but I still like the cars and music. I was always into metal and such with a bit of U2 thrown in to cultivate a sensitive side(!!?) but the cars are justthe sort of things I'd love to have in my garage. Apart from the Allegros. They were, and still are, crap.
I'm till a bit muddled by the whole time travel thing. Meeting your own mother when you travel back to the past to a time when you are still there as a young kid is a bit mad......

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Willing to bet the Quatro is actually a 2wd Coupe.

The series is different fro LoM it consciously sends itself up, willing to bet also at some point we discover Sam didn't drown but is on deep undercover mission --- his body was never found.

I hate the b***** clown !
