It looks like his revers uses a starter moter and pinion. Can anyone tell whether that means that the gears are only meshed when electric motor is
spinning?
Does anyone use an electric reverse? I've read comments to the affect that they are hard to control - being basically an on/off device - but has
anyone used one long enough to get used to it?
Before you judge a guy, walk a mile in his shoes. Then when you judge him, you're a mile a way and you've nicked his shoes.

electric reverse
hi all
have done similar with my 7,
i have used a 6/1 reduction box on motor,
and then it meshes with 80 tooth ring mounted on sierra pot joint next to diff.
works fine with car on stands, waiting to finish car to try on road, will try and take some pics and show all . graham.

I was looking into using a hydraulic system to power the front wheels of my Indy. This was just an idea thought and as soon as I thought of the cost
I quickly binned it.

Not too impressed - take the unsprung weight issues of a truck axle then compound them by bolting on a starter motor and a chevvy flywheel....??
The control issues with electric reverse can be resolved with a PWM controller - tks was doing one (don't know if it's a goer yet). Then
the problem is how to control the controller - you can't use the gas pedal or the engine races....

ooo i kinda like that especially the rear.
Thought the rgb racers were using starter motors for reverse? I tried a motor from a caravan moving around thing and worked a treat but motor was tad
big and heavy

It's not really a flywheel though.
It's a flex plate which really doesn't weigh much at all.
I could lose more weight by taking a dump.

It's definately a starter motor though, I doubt that you could crap the same weight as one of them without a rectal prolapse .
DO NOT PUT ON KNOB OR BOLLOCKS!
