perhaps it's over compensating for 87 (or it might have been 86)!!

"Earlier on today apparently a lady rang the BBC and said she heard that there was a hurricane on the way. Well don't worry if you're watching, there isn't."

I just don't get all this. Some sites say my house will be blown over, whilst that site has me in a high risk area, but with a mere 27 mph wind speed and 5mm of rain!

Its lovely down south at the moment, had a bit of hail which was odd as it was warm enough for Tee shirts this afternoon.

Weathers all FBUR anyway now.

As I was driving to the beach this afternoon, there was a warning on the radio for folks to stay away from the coast unless they absolutely had to go there. Well, I absolutely had to go there as it's the only place close to me with sea and a beach. It was sunny and warm(ish) and the sea was flat calm. It's a shame really as the beach fills with folks when it's nice.............

I've been cutting down this big assed tree in my front garden all day and I've been sweating like a fat man chasing an M&M!

According to the weather man I'm supposed to be holding on for grim life, but it's been lovely. No wind at all. Ever since 87 they make sure they cover all their bases I think.

Cheers

Dave

isn't that a bit like just before a tsunami ????

trouble is everyone seems to think climate
change means it's going to be hot.

Did anyone see 'dead as a dodo' on tv last week?
Should be shown at prime time.
They gave the human race 2-300 years before
extinction. Personally i don't think it will
be that long

Whats all the fuss? Bad weather? We haven't had any for donkeys years.

Remember the snow in the 60's & 70's?? Never made the headlines then so why now?

Oh, I forgot its global warming..... funny that, its been warming up ever since the last ice age.

Anyone remember the hole in the ozone layer that was going to let all the warmth escape and bring on the next ice age?

What a load of bollocks, its winter so just get on with it

Well, having put up with hurricanes..(1987), and increasing instances of flooding ..... most of us southerners can cope

My thoughts go to the people living by the coast, who, whilst expecting Spring Tides on Monday, will, according to the reports, have to put up with extra surge tides because of the 'expected' Atlantic Storm.

Having had my house and parents house (theirs in the 60's) flooded out...it aint funny, so I for one really hope they have got it wrong again!

I had to laugh when I saw the weather warning forecasting 80 mhp winds for the London area, it's been 100 up here on the tops and 60 - 70 down at street level on and of for the last 10 days or so.

Bit gusty on the A10 through the fens this morning and a bit of rain.
Nothing too extreme yet, and I note the story has disappeared from the front page of the bbc website in favour of pygmy hippos
