what phone?
i had a sony w800i, it did the same, and it was a fault with the phone itself
have you tried the sim in a different/old phone? if it does the same in another phone, then the sims at fault, if it doesn't do the same, then
the phone.

Take the Sim out and rub the gold bits with an eraser. Sometimes these just get dirty.

lol, i've got a w910i no, nothing but trouble with it. today whenever i went into the any message boxes (text inbox outbox sent items etc) it
just kept saying operation failed. aye, great... phones o2 he said take it back to the shop. i tried the software update thing on it and and it fixed
it, but lost all my texts ( there were some good ones in there too)
anyways, i'd say try the sim in another phone, if its the same take the some to the shop...
just make sure the IEMI (?) number matches the phone and the box when i got the w800 carphone warehouse sold me a dodgy phone. it was a returned
phone they resold me, but the numbers didn't match so they tried accusing me of theft or fraud i forget which it was.

i was just thinking about the orange phone i lost about a year ago where the last place i had it. i put my hand down the side of the chair and found
it pmsl . ive just put it on charge and the sim card works fine in it so it must be the phone
ill have to take it to the shop to get it fixed.
