Website/page critique wanted

Hi Guys, I just did a quick page on my site devoted to my main business...I may expand to add pages, but I'm looking for feedback so far...

Cheers,

Alan

Content looks good page design needs improvement! Consider what people see when the page opens in a normal browser window. One or two striking iomages help attract attention. Keep the core business description in the same view with links to other pages with more detail. Make sure contact info is complete and not more than one click from the front page and make sure it is very cler where the link to this is not the bottom of the page but the top!

Good luck

"also offer a manufacturing service too " - "too" is redundant - well tautological

"Several machine builders have taken advantage of being able to sub-contract entire portions of large systems to us."

This is clumsy - what is an entire portion ?
perhaps:

"A number of machine builders have already sub-contracted portions of large systems to us "

"Our capabilities and experience INCLUDE " - plural

"Modeling" - two "l"s in this country at least - modelling

"Fabrications and machined parts design and manufacture " clumsy again - four word adjective - maybe " Design and manufacture of fabrications and machined parts" ?

Hope it helps Good luck

Basically what ^^^ said, but also a large central banner is more visually appealing than everything being left justified, also whats that Tiki automobiles logo doing floating mid page - doesn't appear linked to anything...

Definitely put contact info at the top, and maybe a gallery link, rather than loads of individual photos...

Think of it as a one page flyer to hand to someone, needs to have impact, clarity and immediacy....

agree with whats been said.

I think a flash intro movie of one of your more complicated machines in action would look quite good, maybe fading in from a few arty board room shots of meetings, to a technical drawing, to CAD to the machine in operation.

I know flash movies are a bit of a luxury, but if you do ALL the things mentioned above I think it would look pretty neat and add a professional sheen to the site.

With facilities like that, it's a pity you aren't UK based. You would make a lot of new friends.
