Parcel Post
Is it just me or is the standard parcel service getting slower? a few months back you could depend on delivery within 3 working days, its now closer
on 6. I know the spec is 3 -5 days but it does seem to me to be deteriorating...

Nope you're right. The whole frigging lot's slowing down. We are RG1 i.e. classed as central Reading same as the sorting office but our
first class post doesn't arrive before 1130 and more often it's after mid-day.
First class it ain't and according to the postie it'll get worse as they are reducing their head-count to save money!
Cheers, Pewe

I get my FIRST delivery from anything like 12.30 to 17.30 and then often get stuff (parcels) turning up until 19.00. I've even had stuff turning
up on Sundays for a few weeks!

Studying last weeks Private Eye there's a neat snippet re Government's "Shareholder Executive" -set up to increase value of
publicly owned companies with bonus payments on results.
Forget delivery times it is another gravy train - these are the guys wanting to shut the rural post offices that everyone around here is going mad
about.
Once again the tax payers are getting shafted twice over.
Apart from that it has been a very nice day!!

Privatization don't you love it.. All looks good for the first few years then people want to make a real profit, surprise surprise service gets
worse in fact it will get to the point that people start using something else... It's only around this point that the post office will start to
take note, but we will still end up with a shocking service.. Rant over..

The Post Office have a lot of catching up to do - yesterday at around 10am I ordered some filter foam from Pipercross. It was delivered by ANC at
10am this morning.
The cost was barely £1 more than Royal Mail Parcels would charge.
