Rover 820 Tickford Identification
Here's one for you......I need to identify if the 820 that my friend is itching to scrap is actually one of the 500 odd special edition Tickford
Turbos that were made?
It is a 2.0 16v Turbo......I've had a little look about the internet for ways to identify it but I'm not sure if just being a 16v Turbo
makes it 'special'.........any ideas??

Yeah I read that too, I just couldn't pick out anything definitive to look for to tell me if its special......Do we know where to look for
engine numbers....I know it's based on the 'M-series' engine but Ive no idea what numbers Im looking for.....

Sounds like the best way to id if its a tickford is the ecu under the seat, has tickford on it.Ive always had a soft spot for the 820 rovers,I had a
vitese sport turbo back in 1996 200bhp standard, great car loved it
If it is a tickford it wants saving

No ECU with Tickford on it under the seat so it's dead now......took the Recaro's out first though.....
