If you're a bit handy with Linux have a go with Spam Assassin. I'm running it here and, apart from marking Dazza's emails as spam (go figure!) it works really well.

I'm running using it as a module with mail scanner along with a virus checker.

Yeah - i used Spamnet from Cloudmark, works within Outlook, and very well too, picks up just about every one and dumps it in a seperate folder. Cost about £3 a month and worth every penny.

mine puts everything in junk, except those who are on contacts list. Still no spam at all, and one real message. All good in my books!

I must admit, over the last couple of days, the amount of shite coming through has halved so far....

Fingers crossed

What's "spam"

I only get the useful stuff.

Porn links, P*n*s enlargement and Viagra!

Cheers

Chris

(I've only had 4 spam mails today)

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

The only difference I have noticed has been messages asking me to confirm that it is OK for the companies concerned to continue sending me email!

Has something been done to prevent SPAM?

I've not noticed any diference!
Nearly 300 spam emails yesterday, and so far about 140 today!

Roughly half gets sent straight to bin, but rest gets a quick scan over by eye and then drag n drop into bin using shift key to highlight.
