He he he! I cant see Button playing second fiddle to the Diva. Its gonna be fireworks for sure especially if the new Honda proves to be competitive.
What I dont understand is why bother signing Alonso for just one year?
Better off signing an eager beaver GP2 hot shot ala Hamilton/Rosberg/Glock I reckon..but hey what do I know.

Goes to show he has absolutly no loyalty.
Went behind renault's back to mclaren stabbed them in the back. Renault bail him out and now he's pissin off again.

so is it true that raikkenen is planning to retire in 2010? i seriously doubt that ferrari will take on Alonso, purely on the basis that he's not a loyal employee! i would like to see button in a half decent car. he out performed his car in qualifing at the hungaro ring, would love to see what he could do in a ferrari or Mclaren

Said in Autosport that he might retire end of this season... basically he's bored hence the lacklustre performance this year. Or so they said!

I think Alonso pretty much confirmed as going to Ferrari once their line-up changes. Looked like it was going to be Alonso/Raikonnen but Massa has done better than expected and Raikonnen less well, so who knows.

Cheers,
James

EDIT I can't imagine Hamilton and Alonso get on that well still.... will be interesting to see how the seasons go with Alonso in a Ferrari and Hamilton in a Mclaren! Fireworks await I suspect!

I heard that Santander (Abbey) were looking to move to Ferrari. Originally they sponsered McLaren because of Alonso, but the contract was with McLaren not Alonso so when he left they stayed put.

That would be good
I think alonso would be loyal if he were ferarri #1 as it seems #1 always gets aid from #2 (or 1a asn they like to call it). Just look back to the days of barrichello and shumacher

I can't see why they'd want to move to a team thats not performing as well as Mclaren, plus Hamilton is worth his weight in publicity gold compared to all other drivers at the mo especially in 2 of the hugest markets, UK and US. The Mclaren spying row is as good as forgotten now too.

Abbey is benefiting from the santander link in adverts, but i doubt thats much comfort to a foreign bank! They would much rather a spanish theme for their own advertising agenda at home.
