kodak camers probs

for some strange reason my camera says it has no pics to transfer to my compo, there are plenty on the card but all i get is a message saying its empty.
had a look at the "help" desk and all it says is "is camera in sleep mode".
any ideas chaps?

Maybe best to invest in a card reader. I've found my Canon is much slower on the lead than firing the CF card into the reader.

If it still does the error thing - you may need to reformat the card, I'd certainly be contemplating a new card as they dont last forever.

its a new card, used it once and it worked fine, tried the old card and still no luck
to a numpty like me it looks like the lead to the compo has packed up (no device detected message)
