speeding points and kit car insurance

hi guys, just a quick question,

have any off you had dealings with kit car insurer's when you've had points on your licence. i recently had 4 pts put on and my insurance renewel is up soon. do i tell them i have points or not? how much will it go up by, if i do?

if you dont tell them and some thing happens your insurance is void dont know what difference it made but i had 5 now got 8 and due to renew

yes you do have to tell them. not to do so will put your cover at risk and may even invalidate it at worst

If you don't tell them, and then something happens later and they get wind of your points (ie report from plod stating facts of accident including licence's and points on licence's) and everyone has insurance but they notice that you did not report 'relevant facts' to the insurers (as in points on licence). Then you will in all likely hood find the your insurers will turn round and say ' I'm sorry sir but your insurance is null and void due to non disclosure of relevant facts. good bye.' and down the phone line you will be certain that you can hear them snigger as they hang up.





Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

As said. You need to tell them. My insurers don't count up to two SP30s, or any parking offences. I imagine that would change if you were parked on top of a row of cars.

As above, tell them, if you don't and have a claim they may well refuse to pay out if it comes to light.

Most mainstream insurers won't bump up your premium for minor points not sure about AF though?

It is also a criminal offence not to disclose relevant information to your insurers
