vauxhall combo

ive just got a combo and everytime you close a door it instantly locks its self anyone know how to stop this??
its a 2003 model

My daughter's Corsa does the same and while it does annoy me she got used to it and doesn't mind.

but if you really want rid of it you could disconnect the switch that detects when the door is open

downside of this is that you are more than likely to get a warning light that a door is open

I assume its not got central locking. The usual cause is a broken detent spring in the door catch/lock mechanism. usually needs a new catch unless you can find a spring (tiny).

it has got central locking and i think itll be a case of disconnecting the wires from the drivers door lock making it manual locking

don't know about the combo, but some car have that as a security feature, it can normally be turn on or off, have a look in your manual, it may tell you how to switch it off in there (Or go and see vauxhall and ask them)

used to have these from new at the firm i worked at vauxhall never told us about this feature got locked out of my van several times never happened after we had them back for the first service dont know what they did but they all stoped locking auto pain in the arse
