just a thought
if you have the exit of the silencer pointing at the ground rather than out to the side of the car woud it not make it quieter as the sound would hit
the ground a spread out, just thinkin regards to sva and then rotate it back out afterwards.
Any thoughts welcome

Your not the first to come out with this, unfortunately the sound just bounces straight back. The quietest is actually pointing up into the sky,
unless you happen to be a bird

i *think* (given all 3 seconds of thought to it) aiming it at the ground could actually make it louder...
reason being, you would have the sound coming straight from the exhaustto your ears (there'll still be some) + the reflected sound from the
ground. interference ways added together increases amplitude (volume)
then again, interference waves can actually cancel each other out, so depends on exactly where you stand.
and given the sound of an engine is not a fixed frequency (like a sine wave) it may increase and decrease at the same time, making no difference...
