LSUK gone bust

LSUK gone bust --- also affects outlets owned by LSUK but trading under a local motor factor name.

One of many more to come.... There is a recession ahead.

Talk us into a recession, why don't you. There's nothing like scaring people into stopping spending that drives companies to the wall.

Me, my job is secure. The company is expanding. I'll still earn my salary and spend my money as before. Are you expecting to lose your job soon? Then carry on the same so that other people don't lose theirs.

Company I work for has just been sold (again), trebled in value in two and a bit years. Takings are 22% up compared to last year. But we're not likely to get our bonus this year as we haven't quite hit our effing ridiculous budget

Then you are in a fortunate position indeed. I suspect relatively few people could be so assured of their job security, certainly I can't.

IMO whilst doubt of job security exists, I'd be foolish to bury my head and keep spending money as I might in better times.

If the performance of the company in general can be judged by the state of our local branch then it may have less to do with the possible recession & more to do with wee poor management! The bloke running it till about a year back got fed up with trying to keep it in order & left.
He's much happier now & it soon became clear just how much of a difference he made as the service went form poor to not worth using.

How the hell, when everyone's been told they will get notice of any changes, can some c*nt or c*nts make the decision to get all the locks sneakily changed on a saturday and let everyone find out they haven't got a job any more from a notice on the door?! Cowardly money grabbing ba***rds (and they'll probably get a bonus for it too)!! Shouldn't be allowed this day and age.

You'll probably find they've gone bust owing suppliers literally £millions & that the managing directors each "earn't" mega salaries for the last couple of years - I strongly doubt the fall off the company has anything to do with the economic situation.

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

LSUK were in finacial difficulties due to many things, they were part of a huge group called Finelist which went down a few years ago and really never got back on their feet fully since then. I know a lot of people who worked there and I don't know that the directors were mega paid at all.
The company was offered some hope with the proposed purchase which happened last week but this weekend something has gone wrong and it appears to have hit the buffers although you never know if it wil return in some form or other.
The recession is real and unless you are living in a parrale universe it is clear, already people are cutting back and for some industries that will be good as for example Aldi sales are up as people switch to cheaper brands. For others New cars sales down 21% last month it is not good news.
Yes we need to carry on but until the dark skies clear a bit you cannot blame people being cautious. No one is immune to this not even civil servants or funeral directors
