Isn't it still on the foreign office list of dodgy destinations? Recent unrest.

It seems ok apart from certain areas although this could be said of most destinations.

You should try certain areas of this country around J29 of the M1!
Some real dodgy characters there!

I went to Kenya a few years ago, Mombassa to be exact.
Very hot etc. but very long flight. Also, if you go all thay way, and dont do a safari, its a pointless destination. I did a 3 day safari and it was
the best bit of the holiday.
Just MHO.

Girl friend at work went to Kenya recently (this spring/summer), fairly cheap and a nice hotel apparently. They did a 2-day safari and a trip to an
island nearby but mostly it was local and on the beach. Somewhere near Mombasa and by all accounts safe and secure.

I'm with the Baron on this one.
Very hot at the beach (too hot in fact to stay in the sun for very long).
You must do at least a two day safari - you won't regret it. I went with the express intention of not doing the safsri bit but SWMBO persuaded
me and it was brilliant!
